After the poor showing in Norman in 2025, I had very little expectations. A week full of drama after a poor showing vs Western Michigan and a controversial finish. For the record, I believed they lost like the rest of you but finally saw video from the stadium – There was a second left on the clock. Either way, a terrible showing vs Western Michigan.
Interim coach Biff Poggi tweeted that Michigan would win. I thought he was smoking something, but as the finish came, he’d be right. Go Blue.
I did pay a little over $300 for the seat, thinking I scored a deal. After the Western game, ticket prices plummeted to like $50 (or cheaper) and it seems like there was some OU fans that made an impromptu road trip from OK.
The maize out was successful, as all the OU fans were drowned in a sea of yellow
Tailgate
Bill and I had planned to Tailgate for years leading up to this, and were able to invite some of my friends from OU to join us.
Inside the Big House
As it turned out, Michigan defeated Oklahoma 17-10 when the final whistle blew.
I might have been the only one who went to both games of the home and home series and didn’t have to drive 14 hours home disappointed. It also helped that the Longhorns defeated the ohio state butteyes 24-23 in Austin that evening.
