Chase Recap:
A frustrating chase day as I watched tornadoes happen the previous week while I was in New York. There was a 15% hatched MDT risk in the Texas Panhandle and originally I was watching the Warm Front in northern Oklahoma. The WF failed to produce much of anything as I headed west out of OKC and towards Watonga and eventually ending up on a storm in Custer county.

The structure was decent, but I wasn’t expecting anything to happen. I even started to drop off of the storm and head home or further west when a small funnel came down. The funnel was persistent for a number of minutes before dissipating as the storm cycled.
Still frustrated as nightfall came, I was up near Seiling. I sat and watched the lightning for awhile before returning to OKC.
